Misaligned Artificial General Intelligence
The most probable cause of human extinction is the loss of control over a misaligned Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). Current trends indicate that computational power and algorithmic efficiency are accelerating at a rate that far outpaces our development of safety frameworks and alignment protocols.
